Enjoy a half a pint of sunshine in a jar. This small-batch hand-crafted Forsythia Dandelion Jelly exudes the essence of Spring. The dandelion and forsythia flowers were hand-picked in the morning and then immediately cleaned and placed in a hot water bath where they infused for 24 hours. This is a medicinal jelly, as it contains minimal ingredients and holds the healing properties of both the Forsythia Flower and Dandelion Flower.

Forsythia infusions may be beneficial for upper respiratory infections and the flu and may help to fight infection as they contain phenylethannoids, oleanolic acid, phyllirin and lignans. Forsythia may also help decrease inflammation, allergies, improve cholestrol and may aid cardiovascular functions as well.

Dandelion infusions are beneficial for detoxing the body as a result of the polyphenols found in the flower. It may also increase one’s metabolic rate and increase energy. Please be aware that due to its laxative properties you may want to pace your intake. Dandelions are also packed with vital minerals such as potassium, iron, calcium and magnesium.
